What is an Evo sensor?

What is an Evo sensor?

stands for Electronically Variable Orifice. This component is controlled by an electronic control module that reduces fluid pressure from the power steering pump to the steering gear at highway speeds. Improved high speed handling and road feel is the result.

What is Evo bypass pipe?

The EVO actuator (bypass pipe) replacement pumps have a direct con- nection to the power steering pressure hose. The pumps with bypass pipes installed fit the same as the OE unit and function as a standard steering system would. Moving forward, all remanufactured EVO pumps will be built with the bypass pipe installed.

How can I Turn my steering wheel to the left?

Turn the wheel all the way to the left and hold it there tightly. Then loosen the hose line and and turn the wheel all the way to the right to bleed it out with hope that air comes out. Hold the wheel tight to the right while you tighten the hose back down. Have some fluid handy to refill the resivor.

Why does power steering turn one way but hard to turn the other way?

Power steering turns one way but hard to turn the other way. Gearbox or power steering pump problem? Can easily change both but need to be certain. I think its the gear box.

Where does power steering fluid go in a 1500?

The 1500has seperate brake fluid and seperate power steering fluid. reservoir ps fluid goes to gear box. brake fluid lines go to brakes. 2500 have power boost. A hydro booster runs off the power steering fluid system. So a hose goes from the ps cooler or gear box and to the booster, then a return line runs from the booster back to the ps pump.

Is the power steering working at 3000 rpm?

Noticed that when I drove it that the power steering started working when I was running the motor above 3000 RPM’s below 3000 there is no power. Also noticed that the pump is making a significant whine in the upper RPM range.
