I’m trying to finally diagnose a long-standing steering issue on my 2000 Ram 3500 diesel 4×4 with an automatic transmission. I know these trucks are plagued with steering problems and I’ve already replaced some parts, I’d just rather not keep replacing things at random to fix this.

All 3 components showed wear and all 3 components were replaced. Had the toe reset and now the truck goes straight and does not wander. The steering is crisp and when the steering wheel is turned all the joints and front wheels turn instantly. I recommend getting under the front end while someone turns the steering wheel.
