Is there a problem with my Ford F-150 transmission?
I JUST GOT THE TRUCK BACK FROM LAST WEEK , AND YESTERDAY 8/24/2016 THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT GOES BACK ON. THERE IS A PROBLEM A BIG PROBLEM THIS SHOULD NOT GET HAPPENING. WE ALL HAVE FORD TRUCK IN THIS FAMILY NO ONE HAS HAD A PROBLEM BUT MINE 2007.
What to do if your F-150 won’t shift?
This is the gear selector lever on the Torqueshift transmission for Super Duties. A similar looking unit will be in the same place on other transmission types . Remove transmission fluid pan and pull transmission filter. Look for clogs and other damage. If there are chunks of metal in your transmission pan, you have a broken transmission problem.
When did my Ford F250 transmission go out?
I also had a 1977 F250 that didn’t give me this much grief. Has Ford’s quality really gotten this bad??? Had the transmission replaced in early November of 2015 after it being in the shop for 3 weeks with no diagnosis despite the transmission failing to go over 25 and revving into 4-5 RPMs.
Where do I find the transmission code on my F-150?
Check the door jamb sticker in the F-150 or F-250 Super Duty to figure out all sorts of information about the truck, including which transmission it has. The code for your transmission should appear in the circled area indicated in Figure 1. Your sticker might not look exactly like this, but the format should generally be the same.
