I just purchased a 2006 Silverado 3500 and the other night I was putting in the wiring for the GPS, Ipod interface, etc. While doing this I left the headlights on for no more than 10 or 15 minutes. When I got everything back together I went to start it but the battery was too low to crank the engine.

Wasn’t there a recall on the 2003’s for this something with the steering wheel position sensor not letting the BCM shutoff when the key is in the off position. Not saying that is your problem but something to take into consideration.
