Why did my transmission go out on my 2003 Windstar?
Dont stress the transmission out like that and it will treat you like a king / queen. Steering pump, rack and pion went out. This was going to happen at 100K and it did. Replaced it and it was the most cost investment out side of the transmission. Lighting started to flicker inside.
