How is grease transferred to the clutch disk?
How is grease transferred to the clutch disk?
Now, the clutch disk will move easily back and forth along the transmission input shaft and the excess grease is removed from the hub spline and the transmission input shaft. After all, if too much grease is used, centrifugal forces will transfer it onto the clutch facings during operation.
What should I grease on my clutch fork?
FYI — The only parts you should be greasing is the clutch fork (clutch fork pivot ball detent, and the ears that the TOB pivots on), the Input Shaft Retainer Sleeve (surface that the TOB rides on), and the TOB inner bearing surface.
What causes a clutch release bearing to seize?
The folks who had the TOB heat weld itself to the shaft had problems with the grease that was applied to the shaft. The TOB wasn’t gliding properly on the shaft and ended up marring the shaft and this caused the TOB to catch and eventually seize.
What kind of Grease for clutch release throwout bearing?
Been using Valvoline Synpower grease for the clutch release throwout bearing and sleeve etc. Just curious if there is something better out there or if this is perfectly adequate?
