Dermagraft is designed to restore the dermal bed in a diabetic foot ulcer, thereby improving the wound healing process and allowing the patient’s own epithelial cells to migrate and close the wound.

How is dermagraft applied?

Dermagraft is a bioengineered living matrix of cultured neonatal fibroblasts seeded on an absorbable (polyglactin) mesh measuring 2×3 inches (5cm x 7.5cm). 4-7 Once it is cultured, the mesh is then frozen and shipped in a cyroprotectant.
