Open the hood. Ensure the hood is secured in the “open” position. Locate the back of the headlight. You will notice wires attached to a harness that are running to the lens. Unscrew the harness counterclockwise and pull it out with your fingers. The harness should come out smoothly with no interference. Twist the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.

How long does it take to replace headlight bulb on Aerostar?
The Aerostar came equipped with halogen headlight bulbs which shine brighter, farther and last longer than their sealed beam predecessors. If the bulbs should burn out on your Aerostar, you need to replace them immediately. With a little mechanical inclination and a tool or two, you can have the bulb replaced in about 10 minutes.
