I regularly put 32 gallons in mine. supposed to be 36-38 gallon tank. The 2000 short box officially has a 29 gallon fuel tank. But to get that much fuel in as many have said takes patience.

You have to trickle in the last few gallons, the last 5 on the truck I just replaced with a 2008. It it the same by the way, if you want it full, it takes patience with the now 30 gallon fuel tank.
