Are there transmission problems with the Holden Cruze?

Holden Cruze Transmission Problems !!! Hey whir poolers! I have had recent problems with my 2011 Holden Cruze SRI (98000 miles). Unfortunatly when driving my car the gears keep slipping in and out of gear and with being an automatic car this is a problem.

Why does my Holden Cruze not move in reverse?

The car will slip between gears allowing me to only go 30 kmh on an 80 kmh road is a serious problem. Now the car is parked on my drive way and when putting it in reverse it won’t move, when putting it into drive the car won’t move.

What to do if your Holden Cruize won’t start?

If its clicking when you try and start it the battery is probably flat. Check the badge on the front of the car.. that’ll be the best start for figuring out what is wrong. I’m amazed by how many broken down Cruzes one drives past, particularly on highways and notably on the Hume. I pity people who buy cars without knowing which brands to avoid.

Is there any warranty on a Holden Cruze?

Holden are looking after people outside of warranty. They probably wont help with the plethora of other issues these shitboxes suffer from, but common place transmission failure seems to be covered. Answer right there – close the thread. phlegm writes…

How long is the warranty on a Holden Cruze?

Any Cruze with a gearbox that flares during shifts, shudders, refuses to select a particular gear (including reverse) or loss of drive was covered by this special service directive. When fixed, Holden was extending the warranty of the transmission to five years or 150,000km.

Is the Holden Cruze the worst car on the road?

Sadly Esther, the Holden Cruze is one of the worst built cars on the road today – a complete disgrace. They’ve clocked up an incredible eight or nine official safety recalls on that car – as well as many more reliability defects not officially listed as a safety problem. It’s a complete lemon.
