Excellent fork, saved a few ounces from the factory one. Very smooth ride and takes a beating. I don’t do any hardcore trails but do ride off road quite a bit and for a big guy (260lbs) this shock works perfectly! Good product, well made and easy to set up.

Is suntour a good brand?

The higher-level Suntour forks and shocks are very good. Don’t judge them by the bottom budget forks. I’d actually put them up there with Fox and RS on quality. Move along, nothing to see here.

Grey market forks often can be identified by a “scratched-off” serial number. If you are considering the purchase of a FOX fork do ensure that the serial number is unaltered and legible. Counterfeit suspension forks can vary in visual appearance and may be harder to identify.
