Why is the air coming out of my blower so cold?
Why is the air coming out of my blower so cold?
The air that does come out is Ice cold. So far we checked the selector switch (swapped from properly working truck), inspected the vacuum lines-all seem ok, swapped out blower motor (from the same other properly working truck).
How does the speed of an AC fan change?
I know that a lot of automobiles have a resistor in the circuit that controls the amount of power reaching the fan thereby changing the speed at which the fan blows.
How does the AC fan on a tractor work?
The ac fan only works on the high position, it does not run on any of the other speeds. Which after a few hours in the cab will freeze you. Ive traced wires, replaced relays, and motors.
Is the a / C blower motor still original?
It just doesn’t cut it in the Georgia summer heat! – the blower motor turns just fine and doesn’t seem to have a lot of resistance to it, although the plastic fan portion itself is still labeled 2/99 so it is original. I’m not sure if the motor itself is original.
Why is my car AC not blowing or car fan not working?
It sounds like your blower motor or fan is damaged. The noise you heard was probably the fan blades hitting the side of your ventilation ducts and it suddenly stopped when either the motor failed or the fan finally got stuck. Replacing the blower motor and possibly fan should get you back to having AC!
How does a car air conditioner fan work?
Most vehicles today have one multi-speed fan that blows air through a series of ducts and vents based on the driver’s selection in their climate control system. These different speeds are usually controlled through a set of resistors or a small computer module which is controlled by the fan switch.
Why does my AC fan only work on high?
Your AC only working on high probably has to do with the blower motor resistor. It controls the speed of your fan and if it brakes it will only work on high. Try replacing that resistor first to see if you regain control of the fan speeds.
What to do if your car fan is spinning in the wrong direction?
If you don’t feel much air movement, it’s possible that the fan is spinning in the wrong direction. Turn off the fan and wait for it to completely stop rotating, then switch the fan rotation by flipping the direction switch.
