Why is my OBD2 not ready for inspection?
On Saturday, Sept. 14 I brought it in for it’s annual NY state inspection. The car runs fine and there are no error codes or visible problems. It passed inspection without any problem in 2012. This year my vehicle will not pass state inspection as the OBD2 monitor status for both the Evaporative System and O2 Sensor continually show “Not Ready.”
Why does my Chevy’11 not run EVAP?
My ’11 didn’t run EVAP for months just because of the way I drove it. Lots of short trips. EVAP is touchy and won’t run if your start up temperature is under 39 degrees or so. This time of year that might be an issue for you depending on where you are in NY.
Is the heated 02 sensor and EVAP not ready?
Due for AZ emissions 2 days later. 02 Heat Sensor & Evap sensors showing Not Ready. Have driven car over 500 miles & had 3 emissions tests (they just told me to keep driving each time). No Check Engine lights. I have a code reader & no codes. Due to go back to emissions tomorrow. 02 & evap still showing not ready.
