I had same problem 97 5.7 vortec. Replaced cam and crank sensors repaired wiring to crank sensor, much better. I put it on co. Outer and it said can and crank sensors were not in sync with eachother adjusted timing got it down to 2 degrees, it can be – 2 or +2 but no more than 2 16 people found this helpful.
