The wheel sensors are where I would look next. If the wires are broken, shorted, etc. then the ABS won’t function correctly. BTW, the pulsing is the ABS unit kicking in to prevent brake lock-up probably because it senses a locked wheel (hence the wheel sensor) incorrectly.

Light could indicate the fluid is low. Did you recently do any work on the brakes? Agree with above ^ you could have lost a little fluid recently or maybe have some air in the line (S), if you cracked the lines open.

Is there an ABS light on my Chevy Colorado?
I do know the old chevy abs used to have ground issues but those were on early abs Chevy trucks and haven’t heard of the issue in any 2000+ trucks. I have a solid abs light when I turn my truck on, but when I plugged in the scanner I got no codes. The 3 fuses are good, replaced them to make sure and still lights on with no codes.
