Can a 4×4 truck shift into a 4HI?
Only it’s a 1996 S10 4wd pickup. the truck will shift into 4hi but will not engage. I’ve tried unplugging the Transfer case control module but that did not work. Any suggestions anyone? Alrighty, I took my truck into school today to try figure out the problem.

When it came time to leave for the day, 4hi was no longer working. The only thing I can think of is that the metal plate inside the diaphragm has weakened and it will continue to bend. So I am going to get a new one as it has a warranty and see what happens.

What’s the problem with my Chevy S10 GMC S15?
Moving slow, tranny in Neutral, push 4lo and most of the time it kicks into 4lo, sometimes both 4hi and 4lo lights stay on or all lights are completely off, in this case, it’s in 4lo but tranny won’t shift and runs about 3000 rpm at 5mph.
