Why does my radio stop when I open my door?

When the door closes, it pushes the switch in, which tells the Retained Accessory Power system (this is what keeps your radio and stuff working after the car’s shut off) that the door is closed. When the door opens, it lets the switch back out and therefore shuts off the radio.

Why does my Refrigerator stop making noise when I open the door?

The most common cause is a build up of ice around the refrigerator’s fan. When the refrigerator door opens, the fan stops, stopping the noise along with it. The only solution is to manually defrost the fan to get rid of both the ice and the noise. Keep in mind that a manual defrost is a temporary solution and the sound will come back.

Open the doors and look for a little black box (Wiring Harness) Unplug each one and shake the water out of them and let them dry really good. Each door will have one. I am not sure what the permanent solution is but this is the only way to get your speakers working and is very common in an Acadia. Hope this helps. 18 people found this helpful.

Why does my radio make noise when I Turn on the turn signal?

True, but the BCM tells the radio to make the noise when the turn signal lever is moved up or down. It definitely could be the radio/amp but I’m thinking the radio isn’t getting the signal from the BCM to generate the noise.
