shuddering when car shifts at speeds between 5 and 20 cmph. also occasional ‘clunk’ sound when shifting. It has not been fixed. Either from park to drive or reverse to drive there is a loud and definite “clunk” in the transmission. Our foot is hard on the brake and this problem is sporadic at best.

Had codes reset, but shifting harshness still exists. The car shudders and feels like it is trying to stall on the last downshift while slowing to a stop. Occasional upshifts are very harsh. Sometimes the transmission lugs like a manual transmission in too high of a gear.

This is very common on older RAMs. *Incorrect outputs from the Distance or Coolant Sensors. A punky Distance Sensor can caused a weird collection of symptoms, including no 3-4 shift. Also, remember that the 46RE will not shift in to fourth gear until the transmission fluid reaches a certain temperature.

Is there a hard shift on Dodge Grand?
Took it out of econ mode and it still done it just not as hard. Taking to dealer tomorrow. Not very happy! Hesitation in shifting and then a hard shift usually between 1st and 2nd gear when accelerating. Had codes reset, but shifting harshness still exists.
