Mine has developed an annoying fault whereby it sometimes won’t start even with the clutch pressed fully down. Starter motor doesn’t spin, and a message appears on the dash saying ‘depress clutch pedal’ or something like that. It will eventually start after brutal mashing of the pedal into the carpet.

* The brake pedal is extremely stiff (that is what she said) and i can’t depress it very far all at. * Brake lights turn on when pressing the pedal (so that i believe rules out the switch). * Tried jumping it for the hell of it, dind’t make any difference. * Nothing physically blocking the pedal.

The switch may just need adjusted rather than being faulty. You can also just unclip the wiring plug and jumper the terminals, or jumper them across the rear if you need a quick ferry disembarking solution…..or want no switch Is it an easy job to bypass the switch?
