Why are the low beams not fused on my 2002 ML?
On the 2002 ML’s, the low beams are not fused. They receive direct voltage from the Combination Sw. to the AAM, to the EAM and then to the low beams. Hopefully the problem will be with the Combo. Sw.
Why does my 2000 ML320 headlights not work?
As an afterthought, your car probably has the auto on headlights function whereas the 2000 ML320 in the wiring diagram did not. The diagram should still be close to the mark.
What to do if your low beam light does not work?
Remove the covers surrounding the steering column and access the electrical connector to the combo. switch. With the switch in the Low Beam mode, test wires #2 BLUE and #3 ORANGE, with a test light or DVOM, for 12v. If there is not 12v, replace the Combination Switch. If there is 12v, replace the covers on the steering column and post back.

My recently purchased 2002 ML320. One of the PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) comments was that the low beams are not working. I thought it would be the bulbs…..nope!

Where are the fuses located in the ML320 ml500?
A second fuse box is located in the passenger footwell. This is the auxiliary fuse box. To access the fuses inside you will need to twist the two plastic locks and pull the cover towards the back of the engine. Fuses in the auxiliary panel. Relays located in the fuse and relay box by the passenger foot-well.
