How do you turn off headlights at night?

I tried messing with the switch, and when the headlights turn on, it won’t even let you turn the lights off with the switch, after about 3 minutes it will let you turn them off. But after you go back inside for a few, they turn right back on. If it matters, I did get aftermarket light bulbs a couple months ago.

Why does my car keep clicking and flickering?

I have the fob, so when I pushed the start button I could hear clicking sounds and my headlights flickered. The clicking and flickering carried on for about 5 minutes. On one of my failed attempts to start the car i got a message indicating “battery saver mode”. Any thoughts? Anyone have this happen?

They even came on on their own when driving. Turned out to be a dodgy sensor on one of the rear sliding doors. Watch out for VW trying to blame retrofit lights if you have them. Why are my interior lights not turning off?

When the door is open, the switch is closed and will allow current to pass. When the door is shut it presses the switch in and opens the circuit, which makes sense as to kill voltage to the interior lights. The headlight switch works fine.

Why are the interior lights on my Ford Escape not working?

Hello I have a 2008 Ford Escape XLS and I had the same problem I even took it to the dealer to be fix but when I got it back in return it only worked until I got home and stopped working again. So I took it upon myself and took off the screws to the dome light very carefully not to pull any wires I looked at it and examined it.

If the switch is in the correct position then the door swicth located on the inside of the door might be sticking. Check the switch stem/button action and makes sure it fully pushes in and out. Also verify that the interior bulb is good (not burned out) and that the fuse for the interor light is not burned out.

Why does my focus ZX5 Zetec not start?

Been searching through the forums, but can’t find the answer: my 2003 Focus ZX5 Zetec has an intermittent “no electrical” problem. When you open the door, no dome light, nothing. When the key is inserted into the ignition, no dash lights come on, no sounds, nothing. The car doesn’t start, nor attempt to start (no fuel pump, no solenoid clicking).

Why does my Lincoln LS not shut off lights?

Now here’s the important point. The LS is equipped with a “battery saver” system that will shut off lights after they have been on for about 30 minutes. This system is handy if you, for example, leave the trunk open (trunk light is on) for a while.
