Why are the dash lights not working on my Ford Transit?
Also the central locking is not working. Should add that when I checked the fuses, fuse f45 and f49 were blown but I’ve changed them and no difference. Not sure what these are for just says 12v on back of fuse box.

All Transits 2000 – 2013 Hi folks , my van has no dash lights but the lights wipers and indicators still works, and it starts and drives fine, checked through all the small fuse in all 3 boxes, so what now, could it be a bigger fuse if so what one or is it a relay. Any suggestion please thanks.

To fix this specific problem a power steering fluid cooler and revised hoses should be fitted. Problem: The gear lever is very difficult to move. Solution: A common problem is water ingress causing the upper bearing of the selector mechanism to become corroded. A dislodged vent hose or damaged seal for the upper bearing is the problem.
Why are the indicators not working on my Ford Transit?
INDICATORS NOT WORKING. INDICATORS NOT WORKING. On locking my van this evening with the remote, I noticed the front, rear and side repeater indicators did not flash. Tried the indicators using the stalk and all left indicators work but no right ones. Tried hazards and again, no right indicators working.

When did stop lights double as turn indicators?
From the mid 50’s thru 1961, cars which did not have semaphores used the Stop lights to double as the rear Turn indicators. To do that, a special Turn Signal switch with 6 wires instead of the later 3-wire design was used.
