Why are my grid heater relays not working?
If they do click and the grid heaters get hot, you’re in business. Now the reason they may not be engaging is the ECM isn’t sending the signal to the relays due to temperature as discussed before or there’s a problem with the ECM. Don’t worry about that as it’s only affecting your grids which we can fire manually.
Why do I not get 12V on my grid heater?
If you don’t get 12v., put the red lead on your meter to the one that is most towards the rear of the engine and the other to ground. If you do then your ground is bad between the heater and the block. If you don’t, it might be a relay issue. Hope this helps. Okay, some more info. I believe I have a relay problem but you tell me.
