Pull all the shroud off yourself and have a look. Most likely the back plate is either fallen out of part of the way out. It’s fiddly to get back in in the car but can be done, put the car sideways on a steep hill helps with the balls and springs, use grease as mentioned above. Hopefully it’s just that and a free fix if you’ve got a bit of talent.
