What should the transmission temp be when towing?
Generally speaking, there should be about a 100 degree difference while towing between the outside temp and the tranny temp. Going up a hill or mountain will make that rise some, and going down could too. I think generally the transmission fluid is in a danger range when around 250 for an extended period of time.
