What makes a John Deere 35D mini excavator stop working?

I have a 35D mini excavator and the control for the auxiliary hydraulics stopped working. Is there a relay for that switch. The Deere dealer can’t figure out the part number for that switch. Also looking for the Technical Service manual for this machine

Where are the controls on a mini excavator?

Look down between your legs, and you will see two long steel rods with handles attached on top. These are the drive/steer controls. Each controls the rotation of the track on the side it is located on, and pushing them forward causes the machine to move forward.

How to troubleshoot a mini excavator with low power?

Many machine operators complain about low power. To troubleshoot low power, you can check a couple of things. Perform a few simple checks – examine the air filters and the fuel filters to see if there is any obvious cause for reduced power. If you identify a problem, resolve it yourself or talk to a professional.

What happens when you push the blade on a mini excavator?

Make sure you are aware of what direction the tracks are pointed before you travel. The blade is on the front. Pushing the levers away from you (forward) will move the tracks forward but if you have rotated the cab it will feel like you are traveling backwards. This can cause an unexpected side effect.

Where does the power come from on a John Deere 35D?

Power comes from the F8 fuse to the handle and then from the handle directly to the auxiliary solenoids. Those solenoids can only be accessed by tilting the cab. I believe they are mounted directly to the bottom of the cab just below the right lever. So check the wiring real good through the whole circuit.

How can I tell when my John Deere 35D is quitting?

If you don’t want to start throwing parts at it you could wire in an ‘indicator’ led or buzzer directly from the solenoid terminals so you will know when it quits working if there is voltage going to the solenoid at that time. Thank you! I’ll tilt the cab on Monday and see if I can chase all of the wiring and make sure I have power at the solenoids

Why does my aux not work on my John Deere 35D?

If your aux doesn’t work but you still have two speed then the wiring from source (battery) to the fuse would be good. Your issue would be aux circuitry specific. Joeblow is correct, there have been many issues with the wiring from constant bending where the controller handle pivots. Good place to check.
