What kind of engine does a 393 CID have?
What kind of engine does a 393 CID have?
We built our 393 with a Summit Racing cast stroker crank and H-beam connecting rods, Trick Flow 10:1 forged pistons, a Crane roller cam, Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Race 225 aluminum heads, and a Holley 750 cfm double pumper carburetor on an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold.
What kind of power does a Ford 393 have?
The 393 will make gobs of torque through its entire rpm range, so we didn’t have to worry about hurting low-end power. That meant we could build mid and high-rpm power with a single plane manifold like Edelbrock’s Victor Jr. 351W. It’s designed to make power from 3,500-8,000 rpm.
What makes a 393 CID Ford 351W better?
With all clearances checked, Mark weight matches and balances the reciprocating assembly. A balanced bottom end reduces engine-destroying vibration, which will help the 393 run smoother and live longer. The freshly balanced Summit Racing cast crank is put back in the block and the piston/rod assemblies are sunk in their boxes.

Can A 351W be a 393 Stroker?
I want to build a 393 on my 351W, the crankshaft that I use is a scat 3.85 with stock rods, stock heads, but have been worked (ported), intake is know 165cc and 58cc combustion chamber, valves are stock 1.84 and 1.54 i think, I need some help to choice the correct piston (302), I heard about compression issues on this 393 stroke
What kind of Head do you need for a 393 Stroker?
For the record typically SBF heads are quite small compared to the SB Chevy counterparts and for some reason only the Ford clan thinks that small heads are required for the street on strokers. Remember that 393 ci are big block cubes and they need to be fed as such.
What kind of gas does a 393 Stroker use?
That seems to be the only pump gas streetable piston from Probe for a 393 with a small combustion chamber. For a more streetable compression that will run 87 octane gas, look for 302 pistons from other manufacturer’s that are listed as 8.0-1 (or less) OR instead jump up to a larger combustion chamber head.
