What is the M form Netherlands?

The M-form is a tax return that you have to file in the year you moved to or moved out of the Netherlands. The purpose of this form is to declare that you did not live in the Netherlands the whole year. This might be due to immigration or migration.

How do you find the M form?

If you do not receive an M Form, you can request one from the Tax and Customs Administration. The Tax and Customs Administration will post an M Form to you within two weeks of receiving your request. If you have difficulty requesting an M Form online, contact the Non-residents TaxLine.

When do you get a M-form in the Netherlands?

For example, if you’ve officially immigrated to the Netherlands, you will receive a m-form (m-biljet) for your first year of employment taxes, and in the second year you will receive a c-form tax form. If you leave the Netherlands for your home country, you will receive this form again the following year.

Do you need original certificate of income for m-formulier?

While submitting the M-Formulier, you must remember that when applying for tax relief and meeting the 90% income requirement, you are required to send to the office an original form of the certificate of income from your country of residence. This form is different for each tax year.

It’s very important that you submit the correct M-Biljet form when you are registered in the Netherlands (for part of the year). If you submit a different form, the Belastigndienst office won’t accept your return and you will have to submit documents to the office once again.
