ANMAC’s Skilled Migration Services assesses the skills of nurses and midwives who want to migrate to Australia under the Australian Government’s General Skilled Migration program. We determine if an applicant has the nursing or midwifery qualifications and experience needed for permanent migration to Australia.

How long is the Letter of Determination valid for? All determination letters issued by ANMAC are valid for 2 years from the date the determination was made.

If you require a specific ANZSCO code other than 254499 NEC (Not Elsewhere Classified) you will need to submit a professional reference that supports a minimum of 3 months paid work experience as a registered nurse. This will assist the team in allocating the ANZSCO code that best reflects your work experience.

Who can become a member of ANMAC?
Our assessors must have tertiary qualifications in nursing and/or midwifery. We accept both professionals already experienced in reviewing education programs for accreditation and those who have little or no accreditation experience but who want to develop these skills.

What is the PR point for nursing?
It is a points tested visa. The minimum score to apply is 65 points. However, based on the previous round of invitation, you would need to achieve a score of at least 90 points to increase your chance of obtaining an invitation.
How do I pay Anmac?
We only accept payment using a Visa or MasterCard (Visa or MasterCard debit are also accepted) though electronic transaction when completing your online application form. Payments are processed the day they are received, in Australian dollars. A copy of the transaction record is emailed to you upon successful payment.

If you are an agency nurse you will need to provide ANMAC with a service statement from your employer detailing dates and hours of employment AND a professional reference written by a nurse who has supervised you in your role as an agency nurse.
How can I add work experience to my ANMaC?
To get this added to your ANMAC result, ANMAC says the following: ‘If you want to add work experience to a current Letter of Determination then you need to login to the portal and select ‘professional reference assessment.’ Pay for your assessment and upload the professional references.
How does the Professional Reference assessment team work?
The assessment team will assess the professional reference and allocate an ANZSCO code. It is important that the referee who writes your reference provides accurate information about your clinical skills and competencies in your area of work. This will assist the team in allocating the ANZSCO code that best reflects your work experience.
What do I need to fill out for ANMaC?
If you are an agency nurse you will need to provide ANMAC with a service statement from your employer detailing dates and hours of employment AND a professional reference written by a nurse who has supervised you in your role as an agency nurse.
