What happens when you take the Recirc door off?

What happens when you take the Recirc door off?

By removing the recirc door, you would not effect the other functions of the climate system, only the ability to close off the outside air. Most people who remove it, find the air blows even harder than original. You may be correct about some change to the defrost and floor does happen when the door is off.

Why is the recirculation door always over against the vent screen?

The recirc door seems to always be over against the inside vent screen. That would leave the outside air opening uncovered. There apperas to be a door up above where the recirc door would seal off the outside air.

Why is the recirculation door in the selected position?

The actuator is trying to put the recirculation door in the selected position (actuator should stop because of the endstop) and due to the fractured connection, it will never get there. In the position the recirculation door is now, is it ok to use, or does it stay somewhere in between?

Is there a code 52 recirculation door problem?

Code 52 Recirculation door does not finish cal cycle. Can this door be pined or tied in either the open or closed position? Did you already try disconnecting the battery for some minutes and see if the fault comes back?

Why does my recirculation door open and close?

There apperas to be a door up above where the recirc door would seal off the outside air. That door may open and close to help control the air temp inside the cabin of the car. maybe that door is sometimes opening and closing and it is that air flow my wife feels on her side of the car.

When is the Recirc door actuator closed or open?

The Recirc door actuator is closed when a ground is applied at Pin 4 of the Climate Control PCB. When Pin 4 is open the actuator opens the door allowing fresh air to flow into the cabin.

The recirc door seems to always be over against the inside vent screen. That would leave the outside air opening uncovered. There apperas to be a door up above where the recirc door would seal off the outside air.

How is the resirc door closed when the AC is on?

When Switched +12V is present the Resirc door is closed by one of the following two conditions: ( (Recirc switch depressed) or (not Defog, plus Max AC, plus AC on)). The AC Compressor control is found at the lower- right of the schematic. Pin 10 outputs +12V to drive the AC Relay.
