What causes LPG backfiring on a Ford Falcon?
It usually does it at traffic lights with the air-conditioning on, but not when the mechanic has it. He says everything checks out fine. Any ideas? A random spark in the inlet manifold usually causes backfiring and the most common cause of that is a faulty spark plug lead.

My bf has been backfiring upon start up, when this happens the car runs like the ignition timings out and stalls., I turn the car off and then back on and the problems gone again. Its not on gas so im not sure where the problems coming from.

It’s pretty much usually the converter on BF’s factory gas. Another way of starting them is leaving your foot to the floor on the accelerator and leave it cranking for 20-30 seconds. You can get a change over converter for a few hundred bucks. Hummer writes… Good advice for other people but mine’s not a factory Vialle. It’s an OMVL peel cp30 😉

Not necessarily… my first backfire killed my TMAP sensor, giving the same symptoms.
