Why is there no crank and no dash lights?

No crank and all the dash lights turned off. Now, when you turn the key there is no resistance like you normally feel when the ignition and starter are about to engage and none of the lights on the dash turn on and there is no crank. What to do if your car has no ignition?

Try to disconnect the battery and disconnect these modules. Afterwards, apply dielectric lube to the connectors and reconnect the battery and see if problem goes away. The connections are known to get small amounts of corrosion in the pin connections. The dielectric lube stops the corrosion and makes a good connection again.

That is what feeds them, that power gets fed through Maxi fuse #6 which is a 40 amp fuse in the underhood fuse box. Check for a bad connection or a burnt connection at or under that fuse. You should monitor for 12 volts at the red wires, at that maxi fuse and at the battery stud and look for power to be interrupted.

What to do if there is no power window?

Check the power window circuit breaker for voltage, key on. That circuit breaker is in fuse box, under right side of dash. Use a testlite to check for voltage. Test the terminals with the key on. If no voltage, you’ll have to check out the ignition switch.
