The problem is that I think it is fully in reverse gear. With other cars I have driven it is obvious if you have not been able to select reverse correctly and then you can pop the clutch and reselect etc.

A few seconds delay allows gear oil drag to stop everything and allow quiet engagement. So I have to stop car, wait 4-5 seconds before I select reverse, then put it into car?
