Is the western UniMount snow plow going left or right?
My Western unimount standard duty plow will raise, turn to the right, but will not go left. In November I drained the ATF and replaced with plow fluid. A hose was cracked so I changed both hoses and flushed the cylinders.

Can a snow plow go up and down?
It goes up and down fine. When I move the lever to angle left the plow raises. When I move it right it does not move; however I can hear the motor working. Why is the Solonoid on my Western plow not working?
What you can do is take a jumper cable and go from the battery to the plow motor and see if it runs. If it does the solonoid is probabbly bad. What type of plow pump is it? Cable operated or Electronic?. The lifting of the cylinder may be a valve that is not closing. There could also be a dirty contact in the wiring.

I can go out and lift the ram of the plow with ease and push it back down with ease, what might be the problem with it?
What to do if your snow plow won’t go up?
My western snow plow will not go up or left or right with joystick. I can use a screw driver and make contact on the silanoid and then move the cables with the joy stick and then it will work. I have relaced selinoid and contacts. any ideas?
How do you raise and lower a UniMount plow?
Center the plow. Check the fluid level to make sure the fluid is level, if not add some until the fluid is level..Once the fluid is level, again swing the plow left and the right, NOW RAISE THE PLOW, and lower the plow..
