How long does chalk paint last?
Shelf life While we know that Chalk Paint® and Wall Paint can potentially last for several years when stored carefully, once the paint leaves the shop we have no idea how or where it will be stored. We recommend using paint within one year of purchase.
How do you seal painted fabric?
Clear fabric paint is a better option and it should go on your painted clothes with ease. There is no special application process for this option and it may even allow you to put your painted clothes in the dryer. Or you can use an acrylic sealer, waterproof spray, or some other sealer that goes on nice and easily.
Do you have to seal chalk paint on fabric?

While chalk paint can last from 1 to 5 years if stored properly, chalk paint will dry up much faster than that if left exposed to air. If your chalk paint has thickened considerably since last use, know that you can thin it with water if you’d like to use it again.

How do you keep fabric paint from fading?
Wash and dry your fabric prior to painting if possible, then paint away. After the paint is completely dry (at least 24 hours), you need to heat set it for permanency and washability. Most fabrics can be heat set using an iron on medium or high heat for 3-5 minutes.
