How to replace rear lower control arm bushing?
Does anybody have any info on how to replace rear lower control arm for 2013 ford escape. The bushing is out and bought a new control arm for the rear but wondering if there is a way to replace the “dog bone” the dealer called it without taking about everything. Any info would be great. How to lower the control arm on a Ford Escape?
Click to expand… It’s pretty simple, basically you just remove the bolts on each end and replace it. The semi-dangerous part is getting the spring tension released (you jack it up by the control arm and then lower it once you have the outside bolt removed).
How do you lower the lower control arm?
It’s pretty simple, basically you just remove the bolts on each end and replace it. The semi-dangerous part is getting the spring tension released (you jack it up by the control arm and then lower it once you have the outside bolt removed). Take note of the position of the inner alignment bolt and then have the toe adjusted afterwards.
