How do you remove a power steering pump?
Locate the two hoses that are joined to the power steering pump. One of them, the upper hose, will be bigger. Trace the hoses to the control valve. To remove the hoses, begin with the lower hose. It should be held onto the power steering pump by a hose clamp.
What kind of wrench to use on power steering high pressure line?
I measured the fittings on the new hose. The pump end is 16mm and the rack end is 18mm. I have metric flare nut wrenches but not that size. I think I remember that one of you guys used a crowfoot wrench on one or both of the fittings. Metric crowfoot flare nut wrenches are not common items, especially in 16 and 18mm.
