These CV axles have a six balls inside a CV joint that acts as a universal that allows extreme movement while delivering smooth rotational energy.

Place one hand on each side of the CV joint and twist the axle back and forth in opposite directions. If it feels excessively sloppy or makes clicking sounds, the joint needs to be replaced.

Just as you removed the old CV axle, insert the new one into the same spot in the transmission housing. The peg will slide all the way in until the axle is flush against the housing.
