How much weight can a 873 Bobcat lift?

How much weight can a 873 Bobcat lift?

2300 lbs.
The 873 offers 2300 lbs. of lift (rated operating capacity) muscle to easily handle those big loads like pallets of sod or brick. Loading trucks is easy with its vertical lift path design and nearly 38 in. of reach at maximum lift height of almost 10.5 feet.

What kind of engine does a bobcat 873 have?

A ’99 873 should have a Deutz oil cooled engine in it. And if you don’t know the machine service/repair history, at 2400 hrs, you might save yourself some aggravation by going ahead and replacing the timing belt. If it lets go, gets more [less] interesting. The 873 was a rather big machine, but it’s weak point was the loader arms.

When did I buy my first Bobcat skidsteer?

Discussion in ‘ Skid Steers ‘ started by Willis Bushogin, Jun 20, 2011 . I just bought a 1999 Bobcat 873 skidsteer. I think it has like 2400 hours on it I have owned skidsteers before, but never a Bobcat. This machine was used at a fertilizer factory so its rusty. or final drive, etc

Where is the timing belt cover on a bobcat?

There is typically one special “torx plus” screw that holds the timing belt cover on, seems like it’s at the bottom of the cover, unless someone previously threw it away. It’s simply a notched, flat, timing belt.

What kind of oil does a bobcat use?

The chain case level is the pipe plug in the very front of the machine. Like barklee, I use AW hyd oil in chain case and hyd system, either AW32 or AW46 for higher ambient temps. And I would advise checking out that oil cooler and making any needed repairs.
