I found a manual that talks about adjusting the tension on the 42-inch deck. Unless the belt is slipping it shouldn’t need adjustment. Some systems with a fixed mounting point normally have an adjustable cable. This is a long threaded section at one end with some jam nuts. Note my old 2005 L108 with a 42″ deck had the same adjuster as pictured.
