What’s the issue with my 2014 Ford Escape?

We have a 2014 Escape 1.6 eco for two years now, live in Ohio and we have cold winters. My issue is you can start the car up in the drive way, turn the heater on high and let it run an hour if you want and only get luke warm heat, but once you start driving it will produce hot air.

Can a Ford Escape run with no heat?

I’ve also experienced the problem with no heat and no defrost for at least 10 mines at 45 mph and sometimes not even for almost that many at 55 and 60 mph. The heater does eventually come on but the defrost is just plain pitiful even after running the car for a while.

How long does it take Ford Escape to warm up?

Once i started driving the air coming out of the vents was hot..within about 2 mins. maybe less. I usually start it and wait about 30 seconds before driving – always get hot air within 2 mins or so. All that idling is just wasting gas. drive it to warm it up.
