Turning the end of the multifunction lever to the third detent (AUTO), will activate the automatic headlight system. With the engine running and the multifunction lever in the AUTO position, the headlights will turn on and turn off based on the surrounding light levels.

How long does it take for car headlights to turn off?

They stay on and never turn off. But as soon as i start my car, put it into drive, the headlights go out within 5-10 seconds… Then if i stop, put the car into park, move the light switch to parking lights then back to auto the lights turn back on.
