Do you run synthetic oil in your Duramax?
Enter your ride HERE to be a part of this months Ride of the Month Challenge! I’m new to the forum and I am ready to do my second oil change (dealer did first) in my 2019 2500 Duramax. I have always run synthetic oil in my gasoline engines and wanted to continue doing the same in this truck.
Can you get an oil change with two drain plugs?
For example: I once visited a quick oil change shop with a vehicle that had two oil drain plugs. The shop didn’t know about both drain plugs and only opened one — then filled the car with new oil.
Do you have to get your oil changed at a dealership?
It depends on your car. There’s a wide variety of used Hondas offering excellent bang for the buck. If you’ve bought a new or used car and it’s time to get your oil changed, you’re probably wondering whether you have to have a dealership perform the service.
Can you put synthetic oil in a diesel truck?
Forgot to mention that this is my first diesel and, after owning it for about 12 months, I will say that I don’t think that I will EVER go back to a gasoline powered truck (unless I sell my fiver and go back to a 1500). Get some aluminum foil and form a slide and tuck it under the filter and just let the oil flow down it. No mess.
