Do you need Yot door latch cable for 2012 Chevy Silverado?
Ordered, received and installed the YOT Door latch cable for my 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. Works just like it should. This was a good fit, just difficult to get into place , based upon its location. Seems to be holding up well so far. I replaced the cable on my ext. cab 2012 GMC Sierra, cable was exactly the same as what I took out.

First off, i have a 2008 Silverado Regular cab short box. i went to get into my truck the other day and i wasn’t able to. my DRIVERS side door will not open from the outside OR the inside.
Can you open the drivers door from the outside?
The lock on my door still goes up and down as if it can be locked and unlocked. however, when it is in the unlocked position i still cannot open my drivers door from the inside or the outside. i have also tried using my key in the keyhole on the outside but still nothing. it feels as if there is nothing there or no tension on anything.

How do you open a GM truck door?
These are super cheap, and very easy to replace once the door is apart, although I’ve never had to deal with both the inside and outside handles not functioning at the same time. To get the door open, you may be able to put the window down and use a Slim Jim to pull the rod inside the door to let the door latch activate.

The power locks work like they’re supposed to but even when it’s unlocked it won’t open! It feels as if the door isn’t unlocking, even though it is! The handles are not jammed and geelel as if its locked when you pull on them!
