Can you stay in dorms during winter break?
College dorms stay open during short holidays such as fall and spring break. During longer breaks, such as winter break, dorms will shut down, only allowing students with approval to reside in the dorms. This is typically granted to international students. All students are required to move-out come summer break.
Can I cancel my housing contract UC Berkeley?
For requests to cancel, please go to portal.housing.berkeley.edu and log in with your CalNetID. Locate the “Online Forms” link in the top left, and select the “Cancellation Form.” Follow the prompts there to select the 2021-22 term and submit the cancellation request form to our office.

When is move in day for UC Berkeley?
For 2021-22, newly enrolled Berkeley students will be assigned a specific Move-In date between August 16 and August 18, 2021. Continuing students may move in beginning on August 22. Your Move-In day is determined by your housing assignment. You will receive an email notifying you that you need to select a one-hour time slot for your Move-In day.
When do students have to move out of residential facilities?
All students must vacate the residential facilities no later than Sunday May 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Failure to be out by this time may result in fines and conduct violations. Be sure to review your Move-Out Responsibilities.
