Can you pull the pitman arm on a Ram 2500?
Tried to use to pull the pitman arm on a 2003 Ram 2500. The teeth were too thick to get into the gap between the steering box and pitman arm. These would have to be modified on a grinder to complete that task.
Why did my pitman arm puller drop out?
Dropped the drag link from the pitman arm removed my hydraulics and pulled the old box out. Immediately disappointed to find out that the company that did the lift didn’t torque the pitman arm nut to the steering box intermediate shaft which caused more excessive wear so I didn’t need the puller because the damn thing dropped right out.

Can you put a pitman arm puller on a GMC Truck?
You can’t fit the pitman arm puller on the pitman arm with it in place, it will hit the frame and you can’t get a wrench on it. I was able to change mine, by removing 2 of the 3 bolts holding the box on, and rotate it down just a bit, giving enough room to get the pitman arm puller on.
How do you remove the pitman arm on a Duramax?
I use a standard puller. Use a 2 inch bolt the thread of the puller. This will keep you from having to unbolt the steering box. As you tighten the puller tap the pitman arm with a hammer. Tighten tap, tighten tap.
