Can running rich cause rough idle?
Can running rich cause rough idle?
A fuel mixture that is rich could be the cause of rough idling. This means the vehicle will actually vibrate and feel a bit rough as the engine is running. While the car is not moving (idle), you may notice that the RPMs on the tachometer behave erratically, slightly jumping around.

This results in a rough idle and unburned gas making it into the exhaust, creating a gasoline smell in the exhaust. From the mid-1980s to present day, computers have become more prevalent in automobiles.
What should idle air control valve be adjusted for?
If the idle air control valve spacer is adjusted right it should idle the same, personally I would remove the spacer. I would also like you to check the idle air control valve, just unplug it and check the ohms of the valve (not wire harness).

There is no guessing with this stuff, it’s either right or it’s wrong. Your log shows that the fuel trims are pulling fuel, so yes it’s rich.
Is there an issue with the envoy’s rough idle?
No Codes Having an issue with a rough idle condition, goes away at about 700 rpm. Accelerates fine and top end is fine. Just a pronounced misfire at about 500 rpm. Cleaned TB, run BG44k through tank. Cleaned Camshaft actuator solenoid. Was clean even after 200k, first time I’ve pulled it. Pulled plugs, look fine.
