Can I put GSR gear in a LS transmission?

Can I put GSR gear in a LS transmission?

Re: LS tranny with gsr gears? Yes you can swap your GSR complete internals to a LS case without any problem if there is no LSD (can see pin in differential). If you have a LSD, you’ll have to grind the tabs inside the case to fit it.

Can you put a b16 head on a B20 block?

Re: b16 head on a b20 block will it work? yes it will work, many people done this swap and made good power from b20/vtec setup..

Can you put a h22 head on a b20 block?

Re: h22 head on b20 block? ( B series parts are interchangeable.

How much HP is b20 VTEC?

horsepower, about 180ish.

Can b20b handle boost?

for all intensive purposes yes you should be fine running some boost through it, just don’t go crazy. Re: B20b Good for Boost?? b20b is 8.8:1 compression b20z is the higher compression motor ~9.6:1 I believe. I had a boosted b20b, ran 9 psi on a 60 trim, had no issues whatsoever.

Which is better a GSR head or a B16 head?

Tough question. Here’s the deal…B16 heads share the same bolt pattern as ITR’s for the intake manifold. They are easier to find aftermarket intake manifolds for than GSR heads. However, GSR heads have a distinct advantage over B16/ITR heads.

What’s the difference between ITR and GSR heads?

ITR/B16/92-93 heads are built from the same exact casts (PR3), while 94+ GSR heads are built from a different cast (P72) which is why the intake manifold bolt pattern is different (from here on, 92-93 GSR heads will be referred to as B16 heads). ITR heads have a slight hand port job on the intake side from the factory.

Can a B20 engine be swapped for an LS engine?

B20 one will work fine if it has one. 5. Use your AC and power steering. Unbolt it and mounts from your blown engine and bolt it on the B20. 6. LS ecu works fine as it’s actually rich on a stock LS. I dynoed my b20 and confirmed safe air fuel ratios on a stock LS engine. The B20 is the same on the outside as the LS.

Can a B16 head be taken off a b20vtec?

But, keep in mind that if you do it, your cam timing may be slightly affected, as well as your piston to valve clearance and compression ratio. Be careful how much you take off. Here are pics of my ’00 B16 head fresh from the machine shop: Vtec head preparation.

What are the quench pads on a GSR head?

You see, GSR heads employ small flat surfaces on the edges of the combustion chamber called “quench” pads. This does raise compression, but the real advantage is this design’s ability to ward off detonation.
