Can a Dodge truck stall out of nowhere?

I Just purchased a 98 ram 1500 5.9. The truck will run fine and then out of no where it will stall. Radio keeps playing, lights will stay on, wont buck or jerk, just dies. I will coast to the side of the road and wait a few minutes and then start her back up and be on my way…any body with and experience like this or know what it could be?
