I doubt the problem is on the trailer because he says it is on every trailer he hooks to. It has to be the truck. Check the truck’s brown wire at the plug, then push the tester through the insulation and see if the wire has current before it enters the plug…Is this a factory trailer package?? Or an add on??….

Why are the running lights on my Uhaul not working?
The running lights, both tail and the clearance lights around the top of the uhaul box, recently stopped working. The tail running lights also serve as turn and brake signals, which still work, telling me that the ground is okay. The 30A fuse labeled “running lamps” still checking out. Anyone have any thoughts on what could cause this?

If you have a problem on the truck then you need to trace the wires coming from the connector looking for any damage. You should also check the ground connection making sure it’s clean and solid.

All of the lights used to work but now just the running lights have stopped working. I looked at all of the fuses and tested the plug. I am not getting power to the running light pin.
